G.Skill
The natural focus point for G.Skill was its latest-generation DDR4 memory which it was showing off using Intel's X299 platform. We've seen numerous demos of DDR4 running at faster-than-before speeds on this platform, so it's looking promising for anyone interested in overclocking. We'll let the pictures do most of the talking here, but we should note that the two sticks running at 4,800MHz is the fastest we've seen at the show so far. G.Skill says it's still considering whether to make these in a full production run; for now it remains as more of a proof of ability than anything else.
Many of the kits on show were from the Trident Z RGB range, and G.Skill's take-home message here is that there's no interference or speed deficit that comes from having RGB LEDs on the RAM sticks – you can have rainbow RAM without compromising performance, effectively.
